Mesa Uranium Expands Exploration Program

Mesa Uranium Corp. ("Mesa") reports that several new target areas at the 100% owned Lisbon Valley uranium project are in the final stages of drill permitting. Drilling on these areas will commence upon receipt of permits. The drilling will focus on shallow targets (100-200 meters) adjacent to and along trend with historic mines along the southwestern flank of the Lisbon Valley Anticline. These target areas are in the most productive sections of the Lisbon Valley Mining District with combined historic production of 63 million pounds of U3O8. The Company controls a large land position (27 square miles) in the District.

The Phase I drilling at the Lisbon mine target was recently completed. The Lisbon mine target is adjacent to the Lisbon mine which had historic production of 22 million pounds of U3O8 and was the largest mine in the District. Mesa is encouraged that all holes drilled to date intercepted significant uranium mineralization within the favorable Moss Back sandstone over a wide area (1,800 meters by 1,100 meters) and indicate the presence of a mineralized uranium system. Phase I drilling at the Lisbon mine target consists of 10 holes with a total length of 8,132 meters. Results are currently pending on two holes, and results of the previous eight holes were announced in Company news dated August 17th and September 14th 2006.

Data from drilling at the Lisbon mine target, together with data from nearby historic oil and gas holes, are being incorporated into a three-dimensional computer model to aid in planning follow-up drilling. Mineralization, alteration, rock type, structural and geophysical log data are contributing to this process.

The Lisbon Valley Mining District accounted for over 80% of the uranium mined in the state of Utah and had some of the highest uranium grades in the United States, averaging 0.4 percent uranium. Moss Back sandstone was the primary host of the 85 million pounds of uranium produced in the Lisbon Valley Mining District. The Lisbon Valley Mining District is located in the Colorado Plateau region, 30 miles south of Moab in San Juan County, Utah.

The project area is fully described in a current National Instrument 43-101 compliant report available for examination on www.mesauranium.com and on www.sedar.com.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD
MESA URANIUM CORP.
