Field Work Commences on Uranium Project

| | Mesa Uranium Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to report that field crews have been mobilized to the wholly owned Lisbon Valley uranium project in Utah, USA. The work being carried out is in preparation for the drilling operations expected to commence in approximately 4-6 weeks. The 2006 drilling program is planned to consist of 40 holes for 30,400 metres of drilling. An initial phase of 10 holes will concentrate on targets within 1500 hundred feet of the Lisbon Mine shaft. The Lisbon Mine was the largest deposit in the Lisbon Valley Mining District, producing over 18 million pounds of uranium between 1972 and 1988, and borders the northern perimeter of the Company's claims.
Over 67 million pounds of uranium were produced from the southwestern flank of the Lisbon Valley anticline and 18 million pounds of uranium were produced from the northeast flank at the Lisbon Mine. The principal target for exploration by the Company is the northeast flank of the Lisbon Valley anticline where there has been virtually no exploration for uranium outside of the Lisbon Mine property.
The Lisbon Valley district accounted for over 80% of the uranium mined in the state of Utah and had some of the highest uranium grades in the United States averaging 0.4 percent uranium. The Company controls a large land position (26 square miles) in the District. The Lisbon Valley Mining District is located in the Colorado Plateau region, 30 miles south of Moab, Utah in San Juan County.
The project area is fully described in a current National Instrument 43-101 compliant report available for examination on www.mesauranium.com and on www.sedar.com.
